Impaired Driver Caught
On November 11th at approximately 1:00 pm, a dark green Ford F-250 was observed swerving on the roadway and speeding. The truck was stopped by police on Marine Avenue near Quesnel Street and the driver demonstrated signs of impairment. The driver subsequently failed two separate breath samples which resulted in the vehicle’s immediate impoundment for 30 days and the driver’s licence immediate suspension for 90 days.
Thumb Tacks on Roadway
On November 10th, numerous thumb tacks were located in the bike lane on Manson Avenue near Alberni Street. As a result a bike sustained a flat tire.
On November 12th at approximately 6:15 pm, a vehicle was stopped by police on Poplar Street and Ash Street for driving with a broken rear tail light. The driver displayed symptoms of alcohol consumption and provided two breath samples. Both samples resulted in warn readings. As a consequence the vehicle was impounded for three days and the driver’s licence was seized for three days.
On November 12th at approximately 11:15 pm, a blue and grey 1992 Dodge Dakota was stopped by police on Willingdon Avenue near Westview Road. The driver demonstrated signs of alcohol consumption and failed two roadside breathalyzers. As a result the driver’s licence was seized for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
