Autumn Plant Walk with Ioni Wais

imageAs the autumn season transitions into winter, our plant friends tuck away to sleep. Have you ever wondered how the plants around us are able to adapt to winter weather? What does it mean to be dormant, or to be an evergreen?

Join botanist Ioni Wais for an hour-long walk that will focus on plant seasonality, ecology and adaptation. “This is an informal, accessible walk,” Ioni said. “It’s open to people of all ages, experts or amateurs. All that is required is that you bring your curiosity.”

Participants are asked to meet at the Beach Hut at Willingdon Beach on Saturday, November 28th at 9:45 am, rain or shine.
