Counterfeit Bill

On December 4th 2015 a counterfeit $20 bill was used as valid currency at the Powell River 7-11 located at Joyce Ave and Duncan St. The file is still under investigation.

Impaired by Cannabis

On December 4th 2015 the Powell River RCMP conducted a road check on Manson Ave and MacGregor Ave. During the road check a driver of a 1998 Chevrolet Malibu displayed symptoms of recent use of Cannabis. As a result the driver was given at 12hours driver suspension.

Drive While Prohibited

On December 4th at approximately 10:00pm and while conducting a road check at Manson Ave and MacGregor Ave the Powell River RCMP stopped at 1995 Mercury 4 door car. The driver did not have a current/valid driver’s licence. As a result the vehicle was impounded for a minimum of 7 days.
