The Friends of the Library are pleased to announce that the definitive guide to Powell River’s painting talent is available for purchase in the form of an 8″x10″ colour catalogue. Above is a sample 2 page spread to give you an idea of what the final catalogue will look like. Once ordered, the catalogues will be available in early January. Visit the Powell River Friends of the Library website for ordering options. Info and pic creds: PR Friends of the Library.

The PR Friends of the Library sponsored the art work – selling the 8″x8″ canvases for $5 each – and the art show – in which canvases were sold anonymously for $88 each. The artist’s name was not revealed until after the sale and half the proceeds from the sales went to the artists, unless the artist chose to donate that portion back to the PR Friends of the Library.

The 8″ x 8″ Anonymous Art Show was deemed a grand success with more than 138 works of art submitted. All proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards stocking the new Powell River Library.
