Theft Of Cash Box
On December 29th a cash box was taken from the thrift store located at 7030 Alberni Street. The theft is still under investigation.
Shooting At Seagulls With Pellet Gun
On January 1st it was reported that someone in the 4900 Block of River Road was shooting seagulls with a pellet gun.
On January 1st at approximately 3:30pm a vehicle was stopped by police after it was observed fluctuating speed on Hwy 101 near Gibson’s Beach Road. The driver demonstrated signs of alcohol consumption and provided a breath sample into a portable roadside screening device which resulted in a warn reading. As a result the driver’s license was seized for 3 days.
Driver While Prohibited
On January 2nd at approx. 4:30pm a Dodge Caravan was stopped by police on Hwy 101 near Stevenson Rd. The driver was found to not have a current driver’s license and was issued a court date for driving while prohibited.
Theft From Complex
On January 2nd at approximately 6:30pm a jacket, wallet and cell phone was taken from the men’s change room at the Powell River Complex located at 5001 Joyce Ave. The wallet described as a Roots brand black and brown wallet and the cell phone was a HTC Android.
