Tales on Ice

Here’s a fun event for kids that takes place on Pro-D Friday, February 5th from 1:00 – 2:30 pm at the Powell River Recreation Complex Arena.

It’s Tales on Ice, a Children’s Literacy Day Skating Event, a fun-filled afternoon of activities for children of all ages, says event coordinator Deb Zagwyn (PR Public Library). “It’s a combination of ice activities and games and sitting down to read stories about ice activities, hockey, skating, the whole frozen realm,” Deb said.

Tales on Ice is sponsored by the Powell River Library and the Literacy Council. “We’ve rented a rink for the event and we have lots of activities planned, so it should be an afternoon of fun,” Deb said. “We are hoping for a good turn-out.”

To register, call Deb at 604-485-4796 or dzagwyn@powellriverlibrary.ca.

“Children ages 7 and under will need to be accompanied by an adult,” Deb reminded parents and guardians.
