On January 11, 2016 at 10:30 PM the Powell River RCMP responded to a report of a vehicle on fire on Duck Lake Road past the watershed. Upon arrival, police noted a white Chevrolet truck parked on a pull out. The truck’s entire front end had been burned and parts of it were still on fire. The truck had been parked at the location for a period of time due to mechanical problems.

On January 18th, 2016 the Powell River RCMP received a complaint of vandalism to a vehicle that occurred sometime overnight. The vehicle, a red GMC Jimmy, was parked on the 5600 block of Marlatt Avenue in Powell River at the time of the incident. Both driver side tires of the GMC Jimmy appear to have been slashed.

Anyone with information regarding these crimes is asked to contact the Powell River RCMP or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online at www.bccrimestoppers.com.
