Understanding Society @ VIU

Join everyone’s favourite teacher, Prof. Michael Thoms, for a first-year Sociology class at VIU, starting February 2nd, 2016. “My focus is McDonaldization, McJobs, and income inequity, along with the most relevant sociological concepts for understanding the individual in society today,” the professor said.

This is a small class, just 12 students are required for the course to run. All ages are welcome, see the above poster for info on credits, auditing the course and senior options. For more information, contact VIU at www.pr.viu.ca/university or 604-485-2878.
