Free Recycling Workshop

What can be recycled in Powell River? Come to a FREE workshop hosted by members of Let’s Talk Trash to learn about your local recycling options. The workshop takes place at the Community Resource Centre at 4752 Joyce Avenue on Friday, January 28th, 2016, from 3:00 – 4:30 pm.

This informative workshop will demystify items accepted in curbside recycling, at recycling depots and additional items accepted at various local businesses, says Inga-Lisa Burns, of the Let’s Talk Trash team.

Participants will find out where to recycle the following:

  • Recyclables from the Commercial Sector
  • Styrofoam
  • Ziplock Bags
  • Batteries
  • Small Electronics
  • Cork
  • Garbage Bags
  • Drywall
  • Cassettes
  • Books
  • Plastic Containers
  • Lights
  • Smoke Alarms
  • Paint
  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Bike Tires
