A Place for Everyone – Tapping the Groundswell

The Tapping the Groundswell Conference will take place at the PR Recreation Complex on April 1st from 12:00 – 4:00 pm and April 2nd from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.

The conference, a project of Powell River Diversity Initiative, will bring together friends and neighbours, families, newcomers, old timers, elected officials, social planning experts – all of us together looking honestly and openly at what is happening in our community and what we need to do to ensure we preserve what is best about life here while doing a better job for and with those who are most vulnerable in our society, said John Young, project coordinator.

If you wish to attend the Conference, please register in advance by contacting Mark Brown, Tapping the Groundswell’s Conference Planner. Space is limited so register early. Attendance will be by donation, with a suggested donation of $10. For more information, visit www.tappingthegroundswell.ca.

To register for the conference or to volunteeer, please contact Mark at mark@prdisociety.org.
