Powell River Film Festival starts tomorrow

The annual Powell River Film Festival is a bright shining beacon during the dull and dreary month of February and finally, this week, the show begins!

Starting tomorrow, Wednesday, February 17th, and running until February 21st, the Powell River Friends of Film Society will showcase some of the most brilliant, current films and documentaries from filmmakers all around the world. Shorts from Powell River’s own young, upcoming filmmakers will be presented along with films from Canada, New Zealand, France, Lebanon, USA, Qatar, Paraguay, Norway and Brazil.

All films will be presented at the Patricia Theatre; boxes may be reserved for people using wheelchairs and their attendants; Senior discounts are for ages 61 and up;  and all festival ticketholders will require a 2016 membership card (they can be purchased for $2 in advance at Breakwater Books on Marine); membership is included in the price of a festival pass.

To check out the film selection for 2016, or to purchase tickets online, visit www.prfilmfestival.ca.
