The siren was sounding at Eagle River bridge, Hwy 101, on Friday afternoon, as Brookfield Energy prepared to open all the spill gates on the dam they manage on Lois Lake. According to workers stationed at the mouth of the river, Brookfield Energy is intending to drop the lake level by 2 1/2 feet over the weekend.
