Save on Foods Pharmacy

After thirteen years away, Brad Carolie has returned to Powell River to once again take on the role of manager at Save On Foods.

Brad is no stranger to the job. For seven years he was manager of Save On Foods in Powell River before leaving to become one of the grocery chain’s Regional Managers for BC.

“I would visit with friends in Powell River and also support Save On Foods when I was Regional Manager,” Brad said. “When I saw the manager’s position was available in Powell River I jumped at the opportunity to return to the coast and it feels great to be back.”

It helps that Brad gravitates towards the wild outdoors and all the amenities country life has to offer. “I love fishing in both lakes and ocean, and hiking,” he said. “I have a boat and I look forward to exploring the area.

Last month the store celebrated the Grand Opening of the new Save On Foods Pharmacy. Brad was on hand to welcome two young, and enthusiastic, pharmacists to the job. PJ Macalintal and Johnny Yip are ready with:

  • Medication information
  • Booster and travel vaccinations
  • Specialized care for diabetes, asthma, heart health and weight loss
  • Free sharps disposal
  • Insulin pump supplies
  • Quit smoking services
  • In-store health screening
  • One on one medication checkup

The pharmacy also carries a wide range of pharmacy and health-care products, including vitamins and natural health products. “We look forward to meeting new clients and showing them what this new pharmacy has to offer,” PJ said.

“Our focus is on the customer,” Johnny said. “We want to be known as the pharmacy Powell River customers can really rely on.”
