An Evening with Elder Elsie Paul

The Dwight Hall was bedecked, draped in cedar, flags and memories, as the communities of Tla’amin and Powell River came together to honour Elder Dr. Elsie Paul on Friday night. Speeches, songs, and moving accounts of how Elsie helped change lives were interspersed with drumming, dancing and loud applause from the audience. Please check out RS Imaging and Design for photographs of the event. Pic Cred: Laura Westover.

  1. Couldn’t agree more! I believe we are encouraged to purchase books to donate to the library thru PR Friends of the Library, if you are interested. Hey, some copies of your books would be an excellent addition, as well.

  2. Margy Lutz says:

What a wonderful tribute. I enjoyed reading her book and learned a lot about our region. I hope the library has enough copies on the shelf for others to share. – Margy
