Please be on the lookout for this beautiful guitar lovingly hand built by local musician, Dan Vincent.
“This is a completely unique guitar,” Dan said in a Facebook post on Tuesday.
The guitar was shipped from Powell River to Kelowna on March 11. It left Powell River but never showed up in Vancouver where it would have been redirected to Kelowna. It has likely been stolen off the mail truck between Powell River and Vancouver. So it could possibly be floating around the Sechelt Peninsula.
“This guitar was built for a very dear old friend of mine and was to be a birthday present for his guitar playing grandson, Michael Musclow,” Dan said. (Sorry to ruin the surprise Michael).
“This is a VERY special guitar made mostly of woods Michael’s grandpa had been packing around for MANY years, are indigenous to our area and were milled by his great grandfather.”
Below are photos of the unique tweed case the guitar was being carried in. “There is still a slim chance this ridiculously large package is hiding in the Vancouver post office,” Dan said. “A no questions asked return would likely buy you some pretty good karma. Any info on the whereabouts call or text me at 604-223-0278.”
