Drug Transaction

On April 6, 2016 at approx. 4:00 p.m., Powell River RCMP’s General Investigation Section observed what was believed to be a drug transaction take place on Joyce Avenue near Butedale Street. Two males were arrested and a small amount of marihuana was seized along with some drug paraphernalia. Shilo Haacke, age 24, has been charged with trafficking in a controlled substance. He will appear in Powell River Provincial Court at the end of May to answer to the charge.

Vandalized Vehicle

On April 8, 2016 at approx.. 8:00 p.m. police were advised that a vehicle had been vandalized while parked on Duck Lake Rd. The vehicle, a black Mazda 6, appeared to have been keyed on the doors and hood as well as the antennae snapped off.
