Powell River Regional District Trails Plan

imageThe Powell River Regional District has contracted BHA Brent Harley and Associates to develop a Regional Trails Plan that will guide the development and management of a sustainable trail network within the Powell River Regional District.” This plan will formally recognize our regional trails network as a significant and important regional asset,” said Laura Roddan, Manager of Planning Services PRRD.

Residents and interested groups are invited to attend upcoming information meetings at the following times and locations:

Monday, May 16th at 7:00 pm Northside Community Recreation Centre, 9656 Larson Road, Lund

Tuesday, May 17th at 1:00 pm at Tla’amin Salish Centre, 4885 Hwy. 101
Tuesday, May 17th at 7:00 pm at Powell River Recreation Complex – Elm Room

Wednesday, May 18th at 5:30 pm at Texada Community Hall, 4913 Gillies Bay Road, Texada Island

Thursday, May 19th at 7:00 pm at Lang Bay Hall, 11090 Hwy. 101

“The key objective at these community meetings is to present the draft regional trails inventory maps, gather more information from groups and residents about how trails are used and maintained, condition information, and any trail developments,” Laura said. “We will also be looking for feedback on which trails are most important.”
