Learn how to make Biochar

imageCome on over to Sycamore Commons on Thursday, May 19th from 7:00 to 8:30 pm to hear how Biochar can help you make sensational soil!

“Biochar is a specialized form of charcoal used for thousands of years around the planet to create some of the most fertile soils ever known,” said workshop facilitator Ron Berezan. “Come explore how biochar can help bring your soil to life and learn how you can use local waste materials to make it in your own back yard.”

Ron Berezan has been practicing and facilitating permaculture for the past 12 years (Check out http://www.theurbanfarmer.ca). His favourite crop is soil and he has been exploring soil building practices for most of his life. He recently started a small biochar company in Powell River called The Good Earth.
