The Blanket Exercise – a small step towards Reconciliation

The Blanket Exercise is being hosted by Tla’amin resident Devin Pielle at Vancouver Island University this Thursday, May 19th starting at 1:30 pm in room 148.

The Blanket Exercise is a powerful experience that follows Indigenous history from contact through until today. This is a workshop to raise awareness of the nation-to-nation relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in Canada, says Devin.

“Many people in Powell River have done this workshop and I look forward to pursuing reconciliation in this town through this workshop,” she said.

To register for the Blanket Exercise, contact Devin at, seats are limited so register today.
